The 13th Chinese Culture Festival (CCF), organized by Greater Washington Chinese-American Community, a non-profit organization in this area, will be hosted at Lincoln Memorial (23rd St. NW, Washington, DC at the West End of the National Mall) in Washington D.C. on Saturday, October 1, 2011, 10:00am-5:00pm. The event is strongly supported by over a hundred local Chinese-American organizations.

The primary purpose of the Festival is to showcase Chinese-American culture, to enrich American cultural life by promoting cultural diversity, and to foster harmony and friendship among people with different cultural background.

In the past 12 years, Chinese Culture Festival was held in different format and locations in this city and attracted more and more diverse audience. It's one of the largest ethnic cultural events in the nation's Capital.

The 13th CCF mainly focuses on arts exhibition and performance. In addition to traditional programs such as Dragon dance, Lion dance, waist drum dance, Taichi demo, martial arts, and music performance, two well-known young performing groups from China are being invited to perform on the stage. Beijing Dongcheng District Children's Palace will demonstrate Chinese ethnic music and dance while Beijing 166 High School Jinfan Orchestra will perform western music.
